The name Mount Boucherie refers to an extinct volcano that is the geologic landmark of West Kelowna in the sun soaked Okanagan Valley. Last active 60 million years ago, it once rose over 2000 meters high before being eroded by glaciation to its current height of 417 meters above the breathtaking Lake Okanagan.
Mt. Boucherie is proud to farm estate vineyards that are some of the oldest in both the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys. A significant investment is being made in these special sites which are located in Okanagan Falls, Golden Mile Bench, North and South Cawston, and West Kelowna.
In some cases, vines going as far back as the late 70’s are being nurtured to produce miniscule amounts of concentrated fruit. In blocks that do not have this clear potential we are beginning to replant with varietals better suited to the various terroirs.
Our mission is to express this amazing land by crafting distinctive wines that draw on low yields, honest winemaking, and patient aging. We are very excited to participate in the age-old journey of wine growing, and the next stage of Mt. Boucherie has only recently begun.
As one of British Columbia’s premier wineries, Mt. Boucherie offers a full portfolio of varietal wines and small lots reserve vintages, sourced from our estate vineyards in the Okanagan Valley, Golden Mile Bench and Similkameen Valley.
Our roots run deep.
