WINEMAKING

FINESSE & ELEGANCE ABOVE POWER

The Mt. Boucherie portfolio emphasize finesse and elegance above power. The reserve wines are never rushed and generally spend 18 months to 24 months in barrel, and up to another year in bottle.

WINEMAKER

After working in various positions at Cedar Creek, Summerhill Pyramid Winery and Church and State, Jim Faulkner took on the head winemaker duties at Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery in 2009.

Over the past 9 years, Faulkner has helped to elevate the quality of the wines, and has been collecting medals for his efforts.  With the recent investment in the winery and vineyards Jim is hoping to take the portfolio to the next level.

WINEMAKING

Mt. Boucherie wines are made in three distinct tiers.  Our white label wines are made in a crisp, refreshing style meant for early consumption.

The Reserves are aged for 12 – 22 months in barrel and are meant to age gracefully in your cellar.

Summit and Contessa are the pinnacle of our efforts showcasing the best blocks and barrels from our 200 acres of vines.

If you can’t come to the Mountain, then let the Mountain come to you.
